Our stay was comfortable and pleasant. The apartment was super cute and cozy; it had everything we needed (and lots of charm). The location was great with lots of fun options for meals and treats, very nearby. The location is also very close to the FirstOntario Concert Hall, which is walkable, though not advisable after dark, in my opinion. The only negatives really, were the faint smell of wet dog when we initially walked in (but that could easily be resolved with a good carpet cleaning). In addition, I failed to indicate to the hosts that I have some physical limitations, which made getting back and forth to the third floor via stairs just a smidge more challenging than usual, but certainly not impossible. They had no idea, so that boils down to my failure to communicate. The hosts, however, communicated well, were friendly, and certainly accommodating. I would definitely stay here again, but next time I will likely ask the hosts for a spot nearer the ground level, if available.

We are so sorry for the shortfalls experienced. Apologies also that you need to go back and forth using the stairs. If I knew that, I would put you on the ground floor. No worries, the next time you book, I will make sure to find a place on the lower ground for you.

Great location! If you are planning to take public transport - this is a perfect spot. The place is exactly as shown in pictures. The staircase is a bit narrow. There's a full fledged kitchen with fridge, stove, toaster etc.The restaurants and pubs a few steps away from this place are really great and definitely worth a visit. I found it to be a good value for money.

This is a studio apartment near downtown hamilton. Its right next to the GO Station which is very convenient. The bed is decent. The kitchen is useful. Its overall clean however not large enough to spend the day in or work in. The hosts were very responsive.

Really appreciated John and Amanda’s timely, cheerful check-in and check-out messages and being available to discuss details via the Airbnb chat before and throughout the stay. The location was perfect for my travel involving the GO trains and buses within a block or two. I was very thankful for the corner store so close by. Ensure you’re good with stairs to access the suite and a firm mattress. Really great for a single person or adventurous couple travelling through town.

Cute studio apartment in a great location. We were able to walk to most places we needed or wanted to go. Full kitchen with a Keurig - there were some k-cups available which was nice to have coffee the first morning before we went to the store. Not super stocked but plenty for us as we were visiting family and ate all meals elsewhere. Just a note, this apartment was on the 3rd floor which was 3 flights of stairs. I needed the exercise but it may not work for everyone. Hosts were in touch and quick to reply. Bed was comfortable.

John and Amanda's home was wonderful. They were very helpful and I felt welcomed my entire stay. Their home is everything as advertised, a clean and boutique studio in a good location. John and Amanda have been very accommodating during my stay at this Airbnb. They responded in a timely manner and answered all of my questions with extreme detail. The check-in and check-out processes went over very smoothly as they provided detailed instructions. The only downfall is that you have to pay extra for parking but definitely worth it for that extra convenience. There was also a strong smell of cigarettes throughout the hallway but once I was inside the apartment, I could not smell it. Overall, it was a good stay and I thoroughly enjoyed it along with the amazing customer service from John and Amanda. For instance, I asked for extra bed sheets and they instantly replied and provided me with them within the hour. They will definitely accommodate to your needs to make your stay more relaxing.

We stayed for a weekend trip to Hamilton. The check in process was smooth and contact-less. Our hosts were very attentive and in constant communication during the stay. The room was perhaps a bit smaller than expected in an older building - but the place was clean, well-furnished, and equipped with all the amenities we needed. Thanks!

Cute place in a great location. John and Amanda are super responsive hosts, with upbeat personalities that shine through even on text messages! I didn't stay here myself but rather booked the place for my 21-year-old son, and his feedback on his stay was positive overall. I did find the place a bit smaller than expected and not quite a 1 bedroom as described but rather a studio with a partial wall separating the sleeping / sitting area from the kitchen. I must have missed the description about the lack of an elevator in the building so it was a bit of a haul to bring up suitcases and other heavy things, such as my son's barbell/dumbell set (this was for a three-week stay, so workout equipment was a must). Not a deal breaker but something that's good to know for those who have mobility issues. All in all, a great find in Hamilton!

Adorable place to stay near all the downtown action. Close to a variety of cute coffee shops and accessible to public transportation. hosts are wonderful and willing to go the extra mile to make your stay memorable.

The suite was cute - probably should be listed as a studio not a 1 bedroom. As the photos make the place seem much larger. Too much furniture in the front entrance and no workspace like stated on the add. There was an extremely strong cigarette smell that was coming through to our suit for an entire night, even after messaging about the concern the smell continued. To mask the smell there was something sprayed that triggered an allergic reaction which only lasted about 20 minutes and by 2 am the smell of smoke was horrible, in turn had us staying in a hotel the following night. Just knowing that there was smoking allowed in the building even if the suite was non smoking would be a good heads up when you suffer from a severe allergy. I probably wouldn’t have booked. Everything else was wonderful.

Unfortunately, the guest prior to you did not follow our house rules and chose to smoke anyway. We made every effort to clear the smell prior to your check in and even tried to assist you during your stay.

This is a great, compact apartment for one or two people who want to explore Hamilton! It was close to great restaurants and bars, extremely clean, and comfortable. The host communicated well and was very quick to respond. Note that there is not a pullout couch (or any couch - there are chairs in the living area), and it's a studio, not a 1-bedroom as the description suggests (the living area and bedroom are one, with a separate kitchen and bathroom). That said, I found it very comfortable, safe, and I appreciated that the kitchen was stocked with the basics.

Loved my stay here. Location was second to none. Amazing amenities including measuring cups, coffee/tea Keurig cups, multiple towels, pots/pans, cuttingboard, salt/pepper shakers, shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Place was spotless when I arrived. Parking was convenient. Nice small quiet place located on the 4th floor. Would definitely stay again.
