The place was nice and easy to locate. Good host and friendly people. Beautiful place to stay. Available amenities for one's comfort. Well done to the host! Only issue was carrying my luggage up/down staircase, noisy wooden floor and wasn't notified of a changed access code.

Beautiful and comfortable apartment, just as lovely as the pictures, if not even better! Lots of space and everything I needed. 24 hour grocery store just across the road with fresh food. Soft cosy bed. Smooth check in and great communication from the hosts, very understanding when I had to leave in a rush at the end. Would definitely stay again!

We had a good stay at this apartment. Great location, easy to get in with the smart lock. We parked in the lot out back, which was a bit tight with our truck, but no issues. This is an old building so it has its quirks, but is as pictured. We bought keurig cups from the Big Bee across the street. The bed was the bigger issue for us because it’s very soft and it sinks in the centre when two adults are in the bed so my partner and I got stuck in the middle together. The couch does pull into a firm bed and I reached out to John and Amanda for extra linens and the housekeeper came by to let me know where I could find bedding and how to make the couch comfortable. John and Amanda reached out in the evening to ask for photos, but I couldn’t get a photo of the mattress issue because of the nature of it. Overall we had a good stay and found the communication good.

Great, spacious and bright accommodations with tall ceilings. A renovated space with a lot of character in an older building. Nicely decorated and clean. Our stay was short but the kitchen has what you need. Parking is available at the back for a small charge and there is street parking as well. The hosts were very responsive, which was appreciated. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent hosts, attentive and responsive. Good location in downtown Hamilton. Close to supermarkets, bus stops and rent a car shops. The place is nice and has good space so that you will enjoy of a room, a resting area and a kitchen.

Great space and location! So many good restaurants within very short walking distance. Well stocked convenience store for quick groceries and supplies across the street. Bed was very soft and not great for our backs, but probably more of a personal preference. Easy check in and check out too. Thanks for the lovely stay!

Apartment was beautiful. Bed was soft as others have said, but my girlfriend loved it. The kitchen was good. Location was awesome; there is a good restaurant right across the street, as well as an ice cream shop on the corner. Would recommend.

The building itself was beautiful. The location was also perfect and the keyless check-in was a breeze. The pictures were accurate, except the furniture was much cheaper and more worn down than I had expected. For example, the kitchen table was so wobbly I couldn't really use it, the desk chair was pretty stained, the leather couch was super hard and uncomfortable, etc. Basic amenities (e.g., soap, dish soap, towels) were provided, but I would recommend future guests bring their own - the amenities provided were very basic and not great quality. For example, the brand of hand soap was very cheap and the soap bottle had since been watered down further. Also, the sponge provided to clean dishes with was heavily used and icky, so I ended up going out and buying a new sponge. Beyond the disappointing amenities, I also rated the value lower because the hosts charge extra for parking, which wasn't well advertised ahead of time and seemed over-priced, given that the parking lot behind the building was empty most of the time anyways. Otherwise, everything generally worked, except the wifi was really slow when I was on video calls, so I had a hard time working from the apartment. I would recommend this rental to someone who loves quirky old character homes and plans to spend most of their days exploring the neighbourhood and eating at restaurants (although the fridge was handy for drinks and such! Just not a great set up for cooking). I would not necessarily recommend it as a luxury getaway or as a place to work.

John and Amanda's place is great and looks just like the listing. It's very spacious and has all the fundamentals - functional kitchen, good shower, good tv with netflix and air conditioning. My girlfriend and I stayed and co-worked here for 4 days and it's definitely a good enough space to do that. I would just note that there is no door between the living room and bedroom but the place is large enough for 2 people to be on calls at the same time. The location seemed good as well - there's a nice coffee shop and a few nice restaurants within 2 minutes walk and then you can walk to other good areas in 10/15 minutes

Very clean, large apartment with lots of amenities, including soap and shampoo. Great location, 10 minutes walk to lots of nice restaurants in downtown Hamilton, and right beside the downtown Go bus/train station. Friendly communications as well. Highly recommend!

Amanda and John's place is located close to St. Joseph's hospital, and many walkable to many trendy neighborhoods, restaurants and pubs. The apartment itself is very clean, quiet and beautiful. I have stayed here twice and hope to again soon.

This 1-bedroom apartment was bright, spacious and has all the amenities needed for either a short stay or a longer stay. Kitchen was well stocked to be able to cook meals, although we did eat out at some of the great restaurants that are just around the corner. (Had takeout from La Piazza and Bronzies - ate in after COVID restrictions lifted this week. Both were great meals! There is also a little corner store Big Bees within 2 mins walking to get supplies like milk, eggs, bread, snacks, drinks etc. Soft comfortable bed with lots of pillows. They provided extra blankets to use the pull-out couch which worked great for my son to sleep on, although a bit hard but he liked it. The apartment was nice and warm after we got in from walking in the chilly Ontario weather. There was a small computer desk in the living room so that I could work on my computer and the WiFi was good. Checkin was seamless with the doors codes provided. Location was perfect for us. We felt safe in the area and it is a 5 minute walk to the Go Train/Bus station. Communication with John and Amanda was always quick and detailed. Overall loved this place and would gladly stay here again when in Hamilton! My only comment would be that trying to spit in the sink while brushing teeth was awkward due to size of sink and shelves above, but I just went to kitchen to brush teeth.

My “go to” place to stay in Hamilton in a lovely quiet neighbourhood. Just a walk or short drive away from anything you need! I’ve stayed here a few times now and have never been disappointed. Communication is easy and they always reply in a timely manner. Place is perfect for me and my boyfriend with our little dog. Clean and cozy. Would definitely recommend!

Very nice, clean apartment with everything we needed. The bed is pretty soft but otherwise great accommodations. We had everything we needed. Would have been nice if there had been coffee to use in the coffee maker but I’m not sure if that’s something other Air BNB’s do or not as it was our first time to stay in Canada. 5 stars!

This is a great apartment for short or longer stay. The livingroom is large with two couches and windows in three rooms making it nice and bright - plus a sunlight in the kitchen. The bed is very soft and there were basic supplies like soap, shampoo, towels, kitchen supplies, blow dryer, iron. There was a desk in front of the window making it a nice place to do some computer work. There is no door to the bedroom if you need privacy or if someone is using the pull out couch. There is a walk in shower with ample supply of hot water. You have to walk up two flights of stairs to the apartment. It is a quiet building - except there is an apartment above the bedroom area and with hardwood floors you get lots of squeaking above you if someone up there is walking around. The communication from John and Amanda was great right from the time we booked it through to our departure. The location is terrific in Corktown - close to convenience stores, pubs, restaurants, convention centre and a really nice area to go for a walk.

Located right off of the Main Street, James Street so easy walking distance of funky shops, good restaurants, the Hamilton Public Library, the Farmer’s Market and the Nation’s Supermarket. This was a charming, well appointed flat for a short stay in Hamilton. The neighborhood is fantastic and the building is close to lots of great restaurants and cafes. John and Amanda were amazing hosts, exceptionally fast to respond and didn’t make you feel like you were bothering them. The building was noisy on my first night there (a Saturday) but Sunday was much more quiet. The hallway and stairwell amplifies sound so I recommend good earplugs if you’re staying on a weekend night and need a quiet space. Weekdays are great however, so keep that in mind when you’re booking. The neighborhood is great, nice for walks, close to downtown amenities and close to the GO train, while still feeling relaxed and safe.

We stayed here for 3 days and enjoyed ourselves very much! This place was spacious, clean and very quiet- which sometimes can be hard to find! Everything we needed was provided for in the kitchen, and there were plenty of extra little features in the decor that gave it that home-away-from-home feeling. Nice TV, fast internet, and lots of cute little restaurants near by as well. Have absolutely nothing but good things to say about this place! :)

John, many thanks for letting us use your place. We enjoyed the plentiful selection of restaurants in the neighborhood and the handy mini-mart just steps from the front door. The neighbourhood felt safe and our evenings were quiet and relaxing. Getting around the neighborhood by car, public transit or by foot was easy. The Hamilton Centre transit hub is just around the corner and has buses to everywhere in the area. If you have a car, I would highly recommend getting a parking spot during your stay since public parking is scarce in that neighborhood.
