Cancellation Policy
We offer flexible cancellations for all reservations made on upstay.com
- 0-4 bedroom properties - Free cancellation until 5 days prior to arrival (4pm eastern time)
- 5-8 bedroom properties - Free cancellation until 7 days prior to arrival (4pm eastern time)
- 9+ bedroom properties - Free cancellation until 14 days prior to arrival (4pm eastern time)
For longer stays (up to 30 days) or monthly leases, we require at least 30 days notice to cancel or modify without fees.
Booking On Other Sites
Booking directly with us offers more flexible cancellation policies compared to other sites. Always double-check the cancellation policy before booking elsewhere, and consider booking with us directly for the best price on your rental.
Booking Deposit
50% of the total cost of the reservation is due at the time of booking, the other 50% must be paid once the cancellation policy kicks in.

Braid central location. Walkable to a lot of sites. Hosts were easy to communicate with. Parking is a little tight. If you are not used to city parking, it may be a challenge. It's a bit smaller than the photos make it look, but still worth the money. The location is very central and has everything you'd need close by. \n\nGhil and Karen were very responsive amd proactive in providing a good experience for us. What a great stay at this cute little apartment in lower town. Amazing communicative hosts that made sure we were happy with our stay. The area is really relaxed and safe, plus steps away from all the cool Ottawa sights! We had such a wonderful stay at Gail and Karen’s home, and would certainly stay again! The location was perfect, close to meeting locations as well as restaurants, entertainment and sightseeing, all while nestled into a nice, quiet neighbourhood just a few blocks away. Very walkable area, and a big bonus was the corner store two blocks away for last minute needs. We felt safe in our space and check in was a breeze, especially with the system they use to have all details in one place. We have never had such a responsive host, ready to support or answer any questions when needed. This is one of the best flats we've ever been to. Clean, comfortable, well-appointed, amazing location just blocks to ByWard Market - we loved everything about this spot. The hosts were very responsive and they also offer off-street parking for an extra fee which came in handy for people not familiar with local parking laws. We had a wonderful stay. The apartment is spacious, very welcoming, clean, and everything we expected in a stay. The host was very communicative, helpful, and extremely friendly. We were given clear instructions, and when we had questions, we received a prompt answer. The apartment is located very close to ByWard Market, and we enjoyed the restaurants nearby. Thank you for such an amazing time at this Airbnb. Our whole group enjoyed it there and we absolutely loved it. Very cozy and the place was extremely clean. The bathroom was also very clean and super cozy! We loved that there was a light in the mirror for us girls to do our makeup. The beds were comfy and it was just a perfect little airbnb for us to stay for the weekend. Ghil and Karen's place was the complete deal! Located just off a major route in Ottawa, yet still feeling nestled away in neighborhood. Walking distance from downtown and all that is offered there. And two great bedrooms with large, comfortable beds! A clean bathroom with everything you could need (laundry included although we didn't take up that offer). The sofa bed wasn’t the most comfortable for a young adult but it would work fine for a younger child. The shower was great! The location was perfect, quiet but within a short drive to all amenities.
