Cancellation Policy
We offer flexible cancellations for all reservations made on upstay.com
- 0-4 bedroom properties - Free cancellation until 5 days prior to arrival (4pm eastern time)
- 5-8 bedroom properties - Free cancellation until 7 days prior to arrival (4pm eastern time)
- 9+ bedroom properties - Free cancellation until 14 days prior to arrival (4pm eastern time)
For longer stays (up to 30 days) or monthly leases, we require at least 30 days notice to cancel or modify without fees.
Booking On Other Sites
Booking directly with us offers more flexible cancellation policies compared to other sites. Always double-check the cancellation policy before booking elsewhere, and consider booking with us directly for the best price on your rental.
Booking Deposit
50% of the total cost of the reservation is due at the time of booking, the other 50% must be paid once the cancellation policy kicks in.

Our stay at Soul and Jackson’s place was very nice. Although there was some confusion with photos matching up and issues with the chilly temperature, they were very responsive and wanted to make sure they solved the problems! The apartment was great, match the description and pictures. Big living room, nice bedroom and everything you need to feel at home. We had a great stay at Soul and Jackson’s! The place was sparkling clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for our stay. The hosts were extremely proactive and organized. Great bars and restaurants within walking distance as well. The unit looked exactly as listed, and had every amenity we could ever need. Unfortunate side note: while parked in the lot behind the unit, my car window was smashed in and a few items were stolen on our last night. This was a great little place we stayed in. It’s an older unit in the basement of the building but was very cozy and I was impressed at how clean and well maintained it was. We had an issue with the sliding shower door coming off its track, but the host had someone come in and and fix it the next day. Was simply amazed at the kindness and grace of these hosts. My sons thoroughly enjoyed the adventure of spending the night out. We enjoyed local restaurants and the commute to school and work was manageable. Very peaceful sleep. They thought of absolutely anything we could have needed. We were there for a competition at Hamilton Convention Centre. It was very convenient location. We like walking so we walked back and forth every day - only 11 minutes! We stayed in the basement apartment which was great because it had direct access to the back door so it was great for bringing suitcases in and out. The place was a good size and clean. We prefer to cook and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinners. The only thing was the bed in the room was a double and it could definitely fit a queen so that would have been great for sharing the bed. Soul and Jackson was very responsive and always got back to me on everything in a timely manner. Would stay there again if we are in town for another competition.Anonymous - Posted: 5/15/2025

Great place for a long or short term visit to Hamilton. Location is close to transit including GO station, many bars/restaurants including Hess Village...everything you need is within a few kilometres. Easy access to the mountain and off street parking available. Well equipped kitchen. Host was easy to reach and always responded quickly to messages. It was a smooth stay. Almost everything was as they described and very clean. The only con was that the bed were worn out and a uncomfortable. Soul & Jackson’s place was great to stay at. Our group of 4 had a lot of space and was able to get into and out of the basement apartment easily. My stay was a last minute booking and the hosts were quick to respond and provide me with the needed instructions to get into the unit. I was able to take advantage of the kitchen to cook some food, the beds were comfortable enough, some windows provided nice airflow, and the shower was adequate and even had body wash and shampoo. Great basement apartment. Good communication with Amanda and Brix. Groundlevel exit. Quiet and nice lay out. We loved it, just perfect for us. Short walking distance to St Joseph's hospital which was important to us. Little grocery store right beside apartment, which helped us a lot.
