Cancellation Policy
We offer flexible cancellations for all reservations made on upstay.com
- 0-4 bedroom properties - Free cancellation until 5 days prior to arrival (4pm eastern time)
- 5-8 bedroom properties - Free cancellation until 7 days prior to arrival (4pm eastern time)
- 9+ bedroom properties - Free cancellation until 14 days prior to arrival (4pm eastern time)
For longer stays (up to 30 days) or monthly leases, we require at least 30 days notice to cancel or modify without fees.
Booking On Other Sites
Booking directly with us offers more flexible cancellation policies compared to other sites. Always double-check the cancellation policy before booking elsewhere, and consider booking with us directly for the best price on your rental.
Booking Deposit
50% of the total cost of the reservation is due at the time of booking, the other 50% must be paid once the cancellation policy kicks in.

It's a great building, classic build with radiant heat, and plenty of space to enjoy. Super comfy bed and bedding. The shower is on the smaller side but not restrictive. The kitchen was well stocked and worked great. There are a few bus stops right on the main street and a small grocer just a 2 min walk away. Alex & Mel’s place was the perfect home base for my trip to Hamilton! The apartment was very specious and had everything I needed for my stay. I'm new-ish to Airbnb traditions and norms, so this experience was new to me. Long story my original lodging was unavailable for whatever reason. Debra & Derek made all of the necessary changes to get me into a very nice substitute. The communication was on point and I never had any "what's going on moments" from the time I arrived in town to the time I entered my place. I was even provided with no charge parking on the property which was amazing because there was no parking on the street. They couldn't know this but the location was walking distance from the place I was visiting so I didn't need to drive very much. The apartment I stayed in was clean, quiet and very comfortable. Zero problems with how everything shook out and nothing but good things to say about my host and their ability to problem-solve when forced to pivot. Nice and clean. Instant communication back from hosts to answer even the silliest questions. Couches a tad uncomfortable at first- but once I found all the extra pillows and blankets I was very cozy. Recommend and would stay again. Neighbourhood a tad scary if on own but building very secure. The extra toiletries a nice touch. Lots of subscriptions on TV for those lazy nights in. My girlfriend and I had an unreal stay at this wonderful location. The hosts were extremely welcoming & helpful. The location was perfect for a weekend get away in Hamilton, it’s within walking distance of just about anything anyone could ask for. The apartment is very good and well equiped. It is close to the GO centre which helps to get public transportation. There is a 24/7 market very close to the apartment. Great location! We stayed during super crawl and found it to be a great spot to come back and relax a little in between events. It was lots of space for the price we payed in an updated old building with lots of character. The view from the windows was great too. Lots of beautiful old buildings surrounding.
